New to motocross? Start here
Everything riders and parents need for a good first day at the track.
Your first day, step by step
- Check the banner at the top of this site before you load up. It shows if the track is open today.
- Make an account and add each rider (one login covers the whole family). Sign the release and waiver for this year online.
- Bring $30 per rider for the day, plus the $10 yearly membership for each new rider. Cash, Cash App or Venmo.
- Check in at the gate when you arrive. Staff will point you to parking and the pits.
- Walk the track before you ride if you can, so you know where the jumps and corners are.
- Start slow. Roll the jumps and learn the track first. Speed comes later.
Gear, every time you ride
- A motorcycle helmet that meets DOT, ECE or Snell standards, fastened.
- Goggles, gloves, and over-the-ankle motocross boots.
- Long pants and a long-sleeve jersey.
- Chest protector and knee braces are strongly recommended.
Questions
Riders, kids and families
We've never been to a track. Is it OK for beginners?
Yes. Everyone starts somewhere. Ride within your ability, roll any jump you're not sure of, and ask staff if you have a question.
Can kids ride? What bikes and classes?
Yes. A parent or guardian signs the minor release and waiver online, and stays on site while their rider is on the track. Classes are 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, A, B, C, D.
What should we bring besides gear?
Fuel, water, snacks, and anything you need for the day. A pop-up and chairs are nice to have.
Can the family come watch?
Yes. Practice days are free to watch. Everyone watching signs a spectator waiver once a year, on their phone, before they come.
